The Brahmatal Trek is a beautiful winter trek in Uttarakhand. It is great for both new and experienced trekkers. You will see stunning views of snowy mountains, frozen lakes, and thick forests. This trek is known for its amazing sights of the Himalayas, including Mt. Trishul and Nanda Ghunti.
Day 1: Arrival in Lohajung
Arrive at Lohajung, a small village at 7,600 ft. This is the starting point for the Brahmatal trek. Spend the day resting and getting ready for the trek. Enjoy the peaceful mountain views. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Day 2: Lohajung to Bekaltal (6 km trek)
Start your trek to Bekaltal, walking through beautiful oak and rhododendron trees. The trek is easy, with gentle ups and downs. Reach Bekaltal, a lovely lake that often freezes in winter. Camp near the lake and enjoy the calm surroundings. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 3: Bekaltal to Brahmatal (7 km trek)
After breakfast, continue your trek to Brahmatal. The path gets a bit steeper, but the stunning views of the snowy mountains are worth it. You will camp near Brahmatal Lake, surrounded by amazing scenery. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 4: Brahmatal to Brahmatal Top and back (8 km trek)
This is the best day of the trek. Hike up to Brahmatal Top, where you can see beautiful views of Mt. Trishul and Nanda Ghunti. Spend time enjoying the sights before heading back to your camp at Brahmatal. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 5: Brahmatal to Lohajung (7 km trek)
After breakfast, start your hike back down to Lohajung. The way down is easier and lets you enjoy the forest and mountain views. Reach Lohajung by evening and relax after your trek. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Day 6: Departure from Lohajung
After breakfast, you will be taken back to your next destination. Say goodbye to the beautiful mountains of Uttarakhand with great memories from the Brahmatal trek.
